Dr Lynn Albano was raised in Baltimore County,
Maryland and Tampa, Florida. She has been showing pure-bred dogs since she was
six years old and competed in Junior Showmanship at the national level as a
teenager.
Lynn attended Rutgers University and was a
member of the Varsity Women’s Crew team. She graduated from Rutgers with a bachelor’s
degree in Political Science with intentions of attending law school. After working
for three years as a legal assistant in New Jersey, Lynn felt a “calling” to be
a Veterinarian. Lynn spent the next seven years taking the prerequisite classes
for Vet school (along with working part time and having two children). Lynn and
her family moved from NJ to Blacksburg, VA in 1999 to attend Virginia-Maryland
Regional College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in May 2004. While
at Vet school, Lynn was very active in the Christian Veterinary Fellowship and
served as a club officer. She continues to be involved with Christian
Veterinary Mission by volunteering on short-term mission trips.
Lynn’s interests include spending time with
her family, showing dogs in breed, obedience, and agility, and horseback
riding. Lynn, her husband, John, and her four children, Jessica, Sara, Hannah
and David live in Blacksburg.
