Anesthesia: We utilize the safest
available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety,
especially for our older or high risk patients.
Using pulse-oximetery and electrocardiography, the
patient's vital signs are monitored prior to and during all
anesthetic procedures. Each surgical team is composed of, at
a minimum, the attending veterinarian, a licensed veterinary
technician, and a veterinary assistant.
Laboratory: Our in-house
laboratory equipment provide for immediate serum chemistry,
hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also
utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for routine and
specialized serologic testing. To assure next day results for
elective lab work, blood must be drawn by 4:00 pm Monday
through Friday.
Ultrasound: Abdominal,
thoracic and echocardiographic ultrasound imaging can be performed
in-house or performed through referral specialty
consultants. Our equipment utilizes color flow, pulse
and continuous wave doppler to enhance diagnostic imaging.
Dentistry: Our dental services
include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental radiographs, tooth
extractions, periodontal treatments and oral reconstructive
surgery.
Behavioral
Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the
correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing,
spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and
aggression.
